Duration: February 2013 – April 2014
The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists is a book that is 100 years old. My friend George Moore, whom I met through the BFI: Film Academy is the Director and soul leader of the project.
Planning started at February. At the beginning of July me and George held a casting call from 10am till 2pm for actors. We got a fair bit of interest, but not a great number turned out. However, we had enough to film with adjustments. George made further shout outs by using the local press and he also appeared on the Radio to get more interest.
At the beginning of August, we filmed four days Monday to Thursday, at our location in Dereham. Our location was a run down barn, which was perfect for our film, because the characters were painters and decorators. The days were very interesting and a great experience, nothing went wrong which was astonishing, since every other project I have worked on, there has always been contingency’s.
